Detailed Role Description:
We are a dynamic, growing, highly litigation-focused law firm dedicated to delivering results-driven representation for corporate, high-net worth, and institutional clients. Our success is built on agility, depth of knowledge, and a culture of high performance.
We are currently seeking a Business Development Executive who is ready to take on full ownership of the firm’s client acquisition, strategic partnerships, and revenue generation efforts.
About the Role:
This is not a support role. This is a leadership opportunity for a self-directed and strategically minded business development professional who thrives under measurable KPIs and metrics, values autonomy, and understands how to build long-term client relationships in a legal services environment.
This role will require role-specific, industry-relevant knowledge and experience, with an expectation that the right individual will come in with a proven track record playbook to start executing results required, almost immediately, i.e. this role will not suite to individual with nominal knowledge of legal profession, or sales process in general.
Rigorous immediate onboarding and training into Company's business development system will be provided (e.g. Company’s manuals, CRM systems, sales processes and etc).
You will be responsible for planning, execution, and optimization of all aspects of the firm’s business development strategies and efforts in the future. There will be a close collaboration with Leadership and Marketing teams.
You’ll be expected to produce tangible results in building new relationships, closing deals, and with prospective client engagements — all while adhering to the professionalism required of a litigation firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate conversions, leads, and build / nurture new business relationships (inbound and outbound).
- Identify and engage with prospective clients, referral sources, and corporate targets.
- Assistance to Legal Group, if necessary, during the process retainer agreement negotiations and deal completion with prospective clients.
- Execute the firm’s annual business development strategy and plans, pursuant to Company’s goals.
- Execute pursuant to KPIs and weekly performance metrics own performance, while maintaining Company’s corporate without compromising Company’s brand identity
- Maintain a high-quality CRM and leads tracking records and ecosystem.
- Collaborate with Senior Leadership on sales strategies and strategic account management.
- Plan, attend, and lead firm-sponsored events, networking sessions, and external industry conferences.
- Monitor budget, lead acquisition costs, and relationship management
- Create and present monthly reports with actionable insights for management.
- Work alongside the marketing team to support branding, campaigns, and messaging alignment.
We're Looking for Someone Who:
- Can operate independently with no handholding.
- Able to get "boots on the ground" swiftly without excessive "strategy building" at the start of engagement
- Has an up-to-date stack of skills required to perform in a modern AI-toolbox and business development tech environment (e.g. experience w CRM, etc)
- Can clearly strategize, defend and communicate strategies and tactics to be used, -- as well as be responsible for the end result.
- Delivers consistently high output across channels, campaigns, and reporting.
- Understands how to utilize, maintain and improve (if necessary) business development infrastructure and systems.
- Pays obsessive attention to detail — nothing gets missed or glossed over.
- Is data-driven and thrives in fast-paced, results-first environments.
- Thinks outside the box and isn’t afraid to pitch contrarian or unconventional business development ideas.
- Combines creativity with a maniacal focus on execution and deadlines.
- Understands (or can quickly learn) legal marketing / lead generation constraints and compliance standards.
- Is as comfortable writing compelling copy, story, argument, - as well as analyzing campaign ROI and lead quality.
- Creative and open-minded to deliver compelling, effective and aesthetically appealing creative materials / or assist marketing with the same.
- Can collaborate effectively with Leadership Team and other staff as well
- Brings energy, integrity, and ambition to every task, every week.
Qualifications:
- 4–8+ years of business development or sales experience in a high-output, performance-driven environment.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in the legal industry, or professional services environments.
- Proven ability to manage and execute business development campaigns tied to revenue metrics and measurable ROI.
- Strong understanding of CRM platforms (Salesforce, Hubspot or similar), lead pipelines, conversion optimization, and strategic partnerships.
- Experience working directly with legal, marketing, or consulting professionals.
- Excellent written communication and project management skills, with a strong sense of ownership.
- Demonstrated experience in developing corporate client relationships and navigating procurement processes.
- Practical knowledge in building, maintaining, and optimizing B2B service sales funnels.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Communications, or a related field (MBA or relevant sales certifications are a plus).
- Highly developed interpersonal, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Obsessive about quality, attention to detail, consistent output, and performance excellence.
- Highly organized, professional, and with advanced negotiation skills for cross-functional and external stakeholder collaboration.
Salary: starting $80,000-$180,000+ per year (e.g. Base / Commission-based / Performance Bonus / Profit-sharing)
